| And then he walked along the edge of the Circle
This is the place where we will post your stories about the Green's Playhouse, The Glasgow Apollo and Satelitte City (The Wee Apollo). As it develops we will break the stories up into sections such as Myths, Gigs I missed, Meeting the Bands, Where are they now etc. No story too trivial and we will only edit out bad language!
New Forum structure on Apollomemories soon.

| My very first gig ever was on 31/05/1980 to see The Undertones at the Apollo. I was
not quite 13. Most vivd memory sadly was that as I was standing in a queue for the
toilet between support band and The Undertones, the chap behind me threw up all over
my hair and back - my first encounter with the effects of alcohol. The guy just
lurched past me to get into the toilet but I do remember his pal apologising and
cleaning puke from my hair and jacket.
Despite this setback, thoroughly
enjoyed The Undertones.

| this was my first ever concert too , as a fresh faced 17 year old, accompanied by my
14 year old brother bryan and a few friends. i remember going into glasgow a couple
of months earlier with money gathered from my friends with the explicit instructions
" make sure you get stalls tickets" then being talked into buying circle
tickets by the box office staff. despite this the undertones were great from the
very opening bars of "you've got my number". to the closing lines of
"jimmy jimmy" which was roughly their 7th encore, i remember pogoing non
stop for about 1 1/2 hours( a feat that is well beyond me now). a truly magical night.
