And then he walked along the edge of the Circle

This is the place where we will post your stories about the Green's Playhouse, The Glasgow Apollo and Satelitte City (The Wee Apollo). As it develops we will break the stories up into sections such as Myths, Gigs I missed, Meeting the Bands, Where are they now etc. No story too trivial and we will only edit out bad language!

New Forum structure on Apollomemories soon.

used to follow scheme about for years, the apollo and the pavalion gigs were brill, used to love seeing them play in our local the easterhouse labour club, had some great nights in there when scheme played, also if i remember right they played auchinlee park around about 1980/81 another great drunken day had by all, still play the album from time to time, cheers lads for the memories and great tunes [reply]

As far as I can tell, Scheme are the only unsigned band to fill the Apollo in Glasgow. [reply]

Hi I was a big fan of scheme from 1980 when i first seen them in the "Dial inn" in Glasgow, I have also heard a lot of their demo tapes from before they relesed there album and the demos were a lot better than the album as they captured more of what scheme where like live .....,is there any way to get in touch with Denny and the lads to possably get all the demos put out as a CD......also is there anybody out there got a copy of the single they relesed in 1982 with" Growing stronger"",CND","All grown up" and "Your eyes" on it,I would'nt mind getting a copy of it,.... that single captured exactly what sceme were all about...... I played in the 1982 Auchenlea rock concert in a band called Syndicate and  sceme were headlining that gig can anyone remember it ..see you later.....Tommy [reply]
