This is the place where we will post your stories about the Green's Playhouse, The Glasgow Apollo and Satelitte City (The Wee Apollo). As it develops we will break the stories up into sections such as Myths, Gigs I missed, Meeting the Bands, Where are they now etc. No story too trivial and we will only edit out bad language!
New Forum structure on Apollomemories soon.

| My first ever gig. The Cramps were superb, booed and heckled constatnly but acted
like it was applause. The Police were pretty ****** fine too, and if memory
serves right they only opened the stalls for this. How times change....

| I first saw the Police in Strathclyde University Students Union, if I remember right
there were three bands on that night, Albertos Los Trios Paranois were the headline
band and the Police were the first on, (can't remember the one in between). There was
me my mate and about 4 or 5 others who went upstairs from the disco to see the Police
who were great. Sting stopped a few times to chat to us and and in particular the one
attractive woman who was there, a fan. The Apollo concert was half empty when the
Cramps were on. I remember the lead singer came down into the audience walked over
the empty seats towards us and pulled out his plums! They took lots of abuse but were
unforgetable for the few of us who were there early. The Police were great again I
had forgotten about being restricted to the the stalls, the tickets were
"Unreserved" the only one in my Apollo collection. Saw sting last year
in Hong Kong, still good but not the same.
