And then he walked along the edge of the Circle

This is the place where we will post your stories about the Green's Playhouse, The Glasgow Apollo and Satelitte City (The Wee Apollo). As it develops we will break the stories up into sections such as Myths, Gigs I missed, Meeting the Bands, Where are they now etc. No story too trivial and we will only edit out bad language!

New Forum structure on Apollomemories soon.

Comments on Loudon Wainwright III [reply]

I have a Loudon Wainwright live compilation album called " A LIVE ONE" which lists the track "school days" as having been recorded at the Apollo, Glasgow, Scotland; Autumn 1976.
I think I was at this gig where he was the headline act. If your listings are correct then the only other time he played the Appollo was as support to King Crimson ?, who I have never seen. I remember Loudon opening a bottle of Guinness and plonking it down on top of his upright piano where it frothed up and overflowed all over the piano or have I imagined the whole thing?.
