This is the place where we will post your stories about the Green's Playhouse, The Glasgow Apollo and Satelitte City (The Wee Apollo). As it develops we will break the stories up into sections such as Myths, Gigs I missed, Meeting the Bands, Where are they now etc. No story too trivial and we will only edit out bad language!
New Forum structure on Apollomemories soon.

| Supported Whitesnake in 1980. I remember one of the amps packing in halfway through a
song, I think it was Mr Moore's Marshall that decided to play up. They were a good
band, but obviously Gary had much bigger and better things to do.....

| Things didn't go too well that night Campbell. You probably recall in addition to the
amp problems When Gary was soloing on parisienne Walkways his top E string snapped. As
that string is a crucial part of Parisienne Walkways he had to wait while the bass
player did a bit of a solo and the guitar tech fetched another guitar which I heard
had all been packed awaty as it was the last song and they were already running over
time.

| Whatever happened to Gary Moore between leaving Lizzy after the Black Rose tour and
starting off solo again?? He appeared on stage with a dodgy mullet type quiff,
pouting at every opportunity and wiggling his arse around like Kenny Everett doing
his Rod Stewart impresion. So bad that I was actually booing them at the start. Thank
God it was only a blip on his superb career.
